“Overcoming abuse doesn’t just happen. It takes positive steps every day. Let today be the day you start to move forward.”
-Assunta Harris, A Sheep Amongst Wolves

DOVE Center is available 24/7 to offer safe shelter and provide advocacy for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Domestic violence and sexual assault are crimes. We understand that confusion comes along with being a victim of a crime, and we are here to offer support and validation for your feelings and experience. Together we’ll address your concerns and conquer your fears about what happened. Please know that the assault or abuse is not your fault; it is the sole responsibility of your assailant or abuser. We invite you to meet with our advocates to begin a program of healing and empowerment. Our services are offered in both English and Spanish and are free and confidential.

DOVE Center now operates three separate facilities in Washington County. DOVE House is a safe, confidential shelter for individuals who are fleeing an unsafe living environment. Erin's House is where we provide transitional housing and mental health support. And finally, we have a business office where clients receive case management, general advocacy, and help with protective orders. The business office is a public space where we receive donations, conduct trainings, and take care of other business without compromising the safety and confidentiality of shelter residents. These facilities allow us to provide a more complete, longer-term continuum of care that will increase the likelihood of safety, independence, and healing for our clients affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence.
