Community Awareness Education
DOVE Center provides a variety of educational seminars free of charge to community, civic, and religious groups. We cover the basics of domestic violence and sexual assault; provide information to dispel dangerous myths, including victim blaming myths; and talk about our services, how to get help, how to get involved, and some healthy relationship basics as well.
Additional educational opportunities are available by request for business owners or administrators, medical providers, community partners, and faith-based leaders. To request an educational presentation or for more information, please email outreach@dovecenter.org.
Youth Prevention Education
DOVE Center provides evidence-based prevention education to middle and high school students throughout the local school district and at Utah Tech University. The class, titled Healthy Relationships, teaches students about the warning signs of abuse, personal boundaries, how to help themselves or a friend, and how to be an effective bystander. This curriculum can be adapted for any audience.
